Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations

Several people have been asking about how to use various features etc. I am learning along with everyone else, so one place to go to explore this issues is the official Ning help site:
help.ning.com
where you can find lots of answers to lots of questions. Try there first.
Cheers

I searched the help.ning.com to learn more about the "logic" of email alerts... and had no success...

Well, what I observed in the meantime is, that it seems that I have to activate "follow - E-mail me when people reply" in ANY group (I am interested in) and to do this I have to become a member of that groups. BUT: No alerts are created if a new group is founded. So, I have to check the ning all few days to find out myself what's new.

And I have to activate "follow - E-mail me when people reply" in ANY "discussion" in the "forum" (I am interested in). And in contrast to new groups it seems, that alerts are created if a new discussion is started.

I have not found a possibility to activate E-mail alerts for Photos, Videos or Events.
So: If I don't check the ning all few days to find out myself what's new I will have no information about new od changed Photos, Videos or Events.

I will be happy if anyone fond out more or other "tricks" to receive email-alerts from http://solworld.ning.com in a much simpler and broader way!
somebody can help me... somehow I can't get my pic upload - wired since I have done so on several platforms. thank you for any useful question or tip.
HI Regina,

Welcome! Are you using the bulk uploader? If so it may be having trouble running, try using the simple uploader instead. Is you file very large? I think there is a limit of 10MB or something per photo. Or you can upload via email - the address will be in My Settings (top right).
Hi Mark
Just a quickie:

Question: As I understand it - it should be possible to activate the RSS feed to any activity on this site but it acts like it's not activated at all? Are there somewhere I can se/handle this function myself or are there instructions on how it works?
I added al lot od RSS-URL to my RSS-reader.... but I receive only very few RSS-alerts... much often I receive email-alerts....
I will have an eye on it, when I receice RSS-alerts also and report it!

btw: Until now I don't understand the alrt-logic fully.... it's a pity ... if it would be simpler the "transarency" of ning would be much better...
In the last few hours I received some (not many) RSS-alerts from those parts of the "ning" which have enabled RSS and which I have integrated in my RSS-reader (as a function of my mail-client "Thunderbird")
