Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations

SOULutionists Group - update following discussion at SOL09, Texel

Hi to all SOULutionists!
For the benefit of those who missed it, various SOLWorld Ning Groups convened to discuss what's been happening in the Groups. The SOULutionists group has been very quiet for a long time (apologies from me: I was absent from the community for much of the last year). So, it was enormously encouraging to have 18 people join our discussion. It shows that what we are interested in here has real weight and value in the SOL community.

We discussed how we would like to develop ideas within the group and the SF community. I don't have a full record of what people said, so I invite those who were present to share their thoughts and questions here.

As for the way forward, here are the things we agreed we are interested in developing:
- Sharing of (downloadable) resources here in the group: exercises, activities, articles on being Present, creating stillness and space - to give us a 'fruit plate' to choose from
- Share other resources, books and links
- Contribute to a 'code of ethics' for SF practice
- Good debate with 'technique' friends about the importance of this aspect (as Liselotte said, our challenge is to bring another map of the SF territory)
- How to introduce this way of being in 'left brain' terms, respectful to where people are, without appearing 'flaky' or scaring people off!
- Marco shared an idea of holding an 'open/empty space' event for creating and developing ideas.

It's entirely possible that some of what I captured isn't fully accurate, so please add your thoughts and ideas, and any corrections!

And please start discussions, ask questions, etc, to inject some life back into this group!

Many thanks
Namaste
Sue

First I would like to thank everyone from Texel for the openness and positive kindness that I received. I have never exeperienced more connection than at that time!!!! A great compliment to the whole SOL movement.
I would say this is love, this is being spiritual.

I'll do my best to contribute to this group, to share my resources and insights where I aim to integrate a SF approach in coaching & counseling with practical spirituality. It might take some time and experience to overcome my resistance to internet, but so far I managed to join in.

Many thanks,

Marlies.

Many thanks, Marlies
Hi Marlies,

thanks for writing like you did (about connection and love and spirituality!)! And Thanks again for the feedback you gave me in (or on?) Texel!

I like your photo! It´s so live(ly) and positive!

Thanks so much, Sue, for this initiative and your summary! Thanks to all for the exchange of thoughts. I feel that this is all so welcome when we gathered. And talking with others, there is much interest and openness... wonderful.

Like Marlies already did, I would like to say, that I am very glad to join the group and I will be happy to exchange and share with all of you - oh well, have you read "Summer is a state of mind" in the blog post ("A Snackbar on Texel"). I liked it so much - just what I felt after the conference...

Tonight I have nothing else to contribute - just saying THANK YOU and HELLO!
Steffi
Dear All
the dream come true: what I shared with you about empty space is now real.

We have a new Sol-Flow event
