Yes Sue, what you say is true and I agree very much.
I also believe that fear is essentially linked to lack of knowledge. It is the unknown to make us afraid. As most know the more we are sure. So the more we trust our not knowing all the more increases our confidence.
I believe that a good way to contain the fear is more Dialogue: first with ourselves, with life and then with the other. the question is: "how we can improve Dialogue using SFA?", "how we can improve the capabitlity of our client to trust in not knowing?"
This is really connect with SOUL-sol-orient-ed.

Hi Marco
just dropped in and saw your question. The first thing that comes to mind for me is the following piece from Marianne Williamson:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves “who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do... And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Marianne Williamson,
From “A Return to Love”

I think this says a lot. I don't have time to write much now - but I'll come back soon and add some thoughts.

Warmest wishes
Sue

Hi you all,
nice to see you in this group again. Hope you all had a wonderful week after the conference in Cologne? In 2 weeks I visit a conference called "economics with mind and soul" and hope to get some more insights on the subject. I´ll let you know...

Hi all, I'm organizing an Italian meeting as Italian Constellations Association. Our thema is "Courage".
I and Riccardo are preparing a workshop on "The courage to be oneself in the company".
what you can say about?

Hi Sue and all,
I join this group because I would like to do more with my background of Gestalt coaching and counseling. Awareness, presence, the here and now, the power of the unspoken and implicit.. I am looking for ways to blend this with SF to make it even more useful for my coachees. I would love to share my experience, doubts, confusion, insights, and learn from this group. Thanks for this great initiative. Marco, it's a pity I missed your workshop, I hope you will do something again in Texel. Liselotte

Hi SOULution-friends,

very pleased to see this group! Thanks to you, Sue!
I enjoyed the SOUL-workshop during the SOLworld 2008 very much. I felt, this is just what SF still needed: to reflect and be aware of soul qualities.
I am looking forward to discussion and projects, and I am keen on learning and finding out more, together with you all!
Kind regards, Stefanie Kirschbaum

Hi friends,
20 years ago when I said I wanted to introduce concepts meditation in the company and my trainers gave me the visionary. Now it's simply what I do. Through the structural constellations and SFW I found a way to make concrete the theme of implicit knowledge and Presence.

I am pleased that Sue has created this group.
It would be nice to discuss by voice we could do it by skype

Hi Jim
Pleased to meet you! Welcome along. It's great to see you use these approaches working with leaders.

We'll see who else joins the group, and what people are interested in exploring and developing. Feel free to start a discussion or pose questions for discussion.

See you back here soon,
Sue

Hi Sue,

Thank you for setting up this SOULutions Group! I resonate with the words Presence, Being, Stillness and East meets West. As I coach leaders and help them learn to coach others, I encourage the use of solution-focused concepts and tools.

I believe that our thoughts are a powerful driver of our emotions and if we adopt a solution-focused mindset, it leads to more appreciative and pleasant emotions, as well as quicker and more sustainable solutions.

For managers and leaders who spend much of their day fighting fires and solving problems which often leads to stress and burnout, coaching them to adopt a solution-focused approach enables them to maintain a sense of resilience and resonance relationships with themselves and those they lead.

Toward that end, I encourage my clients and students to practice mindfulness and stillness on a regular basis throughout each day to help maintain perspective, openness, and compassion toward self and others.

I am interested in your thoughts about this group and the topics you would like to explore.

Jim
