SOLWorld

Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations

As you might have notices on the list I am running a test on announcing trainings. Below I have copied the text from my mail and I invite you to add you thoughts and impressions on what happens (and how you use it).

===================================

Dear list members

With approval from the SOL steering committee I hereby would like you to join this test run of SF training announcements on the list.

1. WHAT?
This is an experiment to see if it is possible in a structured way to share information on SF trainings across the globe. I call this experiment "First Tuesdays".

2.  WHEN?
The dates open for announcing SF trainings will be the first Tuesday in each of the next three months. That means you can announce SF training you give or would like to recommend on the following dates:

OCTOBER 4th
NOVEMBER 1st
DECEMBER 6th
Each month I will re-announce this some days before the First Tuesday.

3.  THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT
When you announce or recommend SF trainings on the above dates please use the following structure:

1. Name of SF training
2. Outcome of SF training
3. Link for more information
4. Date, city, country
5. Language spoken at SF training
6. Contact person/mail/phone

I will ask you to do it in English because of the worldwide network we are. Example: Me as a Dane might read about a Dutch training and in my network there are dutch people who are not involved in SOLWorld nor the list. If it is written in Dutch I will have no idea what it is about and cannot pass it on to relevant people.

4. COMMENTS, REFLECTIONS AND BANGING ON THE PIPELINES
After the three months it stops and I will try and sum up the experiences. Was it inspirational or too noisy? Should it be permanent or can we say "thank God it's over!"
No matter what, I will give a feedback on the list and in the mean time I will invite you to share your experience and thoughts on this experiment in the SOLworld group:  "Setting up a group for listing training and programmes and workshops".

– Or you can mail me directly!

Thank you for your patience, openness and curiosity.
Best wishes,
Jesper H Christiansen

You want to learn more about "Solution Focus"?

You prefer a "step by step" introduction instead to start with reading some
voluminous books?

You would appreciate to have a complete "helicopter view" on SF after the first step…
