Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations

For managers being irritated by exercises looking like to be
a bit "psycho" or too "playful" I have found out this version of scaling:

>> THE PROGRESS BLUEPRINT

It works that way:

On a wall ten flipchart papers (or half filpchart papers - if the wall
is small) are mounted side by side, e.g. with tapes.

The titles of each paper are: 1 2 3 4 ...... 9 10
(you see: each flipchart is one step on the scale...)

Then I ask:
"This flipcharts are standing for steps of the progress to solve
XXX(the concern)XXX. The flipchart "10" stands for for having solved it
completely. And "1" stands for having reached nearly nothing.
What flipchart represents that point of the progress you have reached
until now?"

((the client says "3" e.g.))

"Ok. Please write down in short words on the "3"-flipchart what you and
others (e.g. clients) recognize, so, that it is a 3."
"What else?"
"What was helpful for you, what supported you, to reach that 3? Please
write it down in short words on the "3"-flipchart with an other colour"

((Then I ask the client to go in a distance from the wall))

"Supposed, you have reached the "10": What will be different for you and
others? Please: Write it down in short words on the "10"-flipchart"
"What else?"

((Then I ask the client to go in a distance from the wall))

"Fine! So: Where can be the next step on your progress from the 3 to the
10 you can reach - let's say - within the next nnn weeks?"

((the client says "5" e.g.))

"Ok. Please write down in short words on the "5"-flipchart what you and
others (e.g. clients) will recognize as differences, so, that it is a 5."
"What else?"

((Then I ask the client to go in a distance from the wall))

"What from those what supported you, to reach the 3 will again be
helpful to reach that 5-step? Please write it down in short words on the
"5"-flipchart with an other colour"
"What else will support you, to reach that 5-step? Please write it down
in short words also on the "5"-flipchart!"

((( and so on with the "scaling work" )))

You see: the client will do a "scaling walk" along the wall.... and he
will go in distance to reflect ....
And you only have to ask him to write notes on flipcharts .... which is
absolutely accepted in business....

that's also a interesting proposal – I like this in-room possibilities for changing position, changing also phisically perspectives and reflecting!
