Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations

Topics for discussion at 3rd Asia Pacific Solution Focused Approach Conference in Bali

Dear All

As some of you might know, we are holding the "3rd Asia Pacific Solution Focused Approach Conference" in Bali, Indonesia on 11 - 12 June 2010,  at the Melia Bali and Spa Resort (www.meliabali.com).

Our theme is: Celebrating what's working and we are asking people to come and share their stories of where and how SF is working, as well as learn with Solution Focused practitioners who work across the spectrum, from organizations, through educational institutions,
therapeutic settings to home.  Our intention is to share know-how and find resources
for building resilience, restoring hope and enabling individuals, teams as well
as organisations to make meaning and perform during this time of uncertainty
and turbulence.

Peter Szabo, Harry Korman, Mark McKergow and Jenny Clarke are already engaged in delivering pre- and post conference workshops as well as plenary sessions. However, most of the conference has been designed around
participation in small interest group discussions, facilitated by experienced
practitioners from Asia.

We are asking for your  input into nominating topics of interest, topics for discussion which you believe will be well-received or information which you might  be willing to share at our conference! Those already nominated by a number of people are around Coaching, Education, Trauma and Crisis, the Family: marriage and parenting,
Children
and Adolescent
concerns.
Other topics which have been raised so far are in the areas of Consulting and OD and Micro-analysis.

If you want to know more, further details (schedule, costs, final list of topics, etc) will be available on the website (www.sf-academy.com) after Chinese New Year, which we celebrate here in Asia this coming long weekend.

Please contact lilian.ithaka@gmail.com for further information or topic nominations.

Hi everyone, I'd like to add that Peter Szabo, Harry Korman and Mark McKergow will also do pre and post conference workshops in addition to plenary sessions and breakout groups based on the hot topics of interest. If you are interested in joining us and have a topic that interests you, please let us know. Updates are posted regularly on the website. Once all topic nominations are submitted by 28 Feb, we will have a conference schedule. Please come join us in lucious surroundings and share what you have been doing in your area of practice during the breakout groups. Debbie

Dear Debbie and others who join Bali conference, can we hear afterwards more what worked well? To me it's so different and interesting to arrange a good amount of time around topics (“Parent as Coach” “Marriage & Families” “SF Tools & Activities” “SF in Organizations” “SF Coaching” “SF with Groups & Teams” “SF with Children & Adolescents” “SF in Education” http://tinyurl.com/36vhk92), facilitated by practitionners, instead of giving inputs/workshops at a conference. I'm so curious to hear more.
Wishing you great fun and success, Kati
