Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations
A conversation with Marco Ronzani and another one from my workshop with Klaus brought me to a wonderful realization: another dream has come true! In 1997 I read Aldous Huxley's Island and since then I was always uneasy when in conversation people labeled it as an utopia, as it meant clearly "impossible''. Now I am embraced by a feeling a victory, relief and vaste happiness. Entering the SOL World is so wonderfully close to living on Huxley's Island :)...
Last year I thought Petra had the right love and kindness to host the Conference. This year I've been enchanted by the love and kindness of Katy and Eniko and the Hungarian people. And by now I get this nice thought-feeling that I am on my way to discover that the English people have just the right amount of love and joy to host next one. And that it won't end there. I imagine that people like Mark and Jenny and Klaus and others who celebrated their 10th anniversary with the SOL Conference nodd somewhere in their heart...
And I am so infinitely happy to have found my way to this Island. And to find it again and again; with the great comfort that (unlike Huxley's island) is not threatened to dissappear. And maybe it is so because of building it in small steps? Or... what do you think?
with a sparkling mind and a warm heart,
Adina
PS This is also my way of thanking the Hungarian people for the open space and the open face (thank you Jocelyne for the beautiful connection) and to each of you for making this Island and keeping it real.

Adina, you just reminded me of the book I read when I was a student 30 years ago. I really liked the Huxley's book and I wanted to go somewhere like that. So I was looking into hippie communes and many interesting places. I kind of gave up to find a place like "Island" already established, but I realize now that what I am doing is creating a place where people can experience "Island" quality of human environment even in a workplace. Good to know that. Thank you.

You want to learn more about "Solution Focus"?
You prefer a "step by step" introduction instead to start with reading some voluminous books?
You would appreciate to have a complete "helicopter view" on SF after the first step…
